Model Answer Unit 4, Activity 4.3, Digital Storytelling with Senior Learners

This is a model answer. Your notes and ideas might be different.

I love the idea of putting our pictures together to create a story. I think my senior learners could then record themselves talking to the images – this is a lovely reminiscing activity. And this can be done very simply in another language when the story is not told in the past but present. For example, the learners can say things like:

  • This is Paul/Susan/Alisha/Petra/etc. ….

  • He/she is reading a book/singing a song etc.

  • This is a book about … / This is a song from

And I love the idea of using the images to teach colours, numbers etc. Maybe we could even use images and then label them with the foreign words and then record ourselves saying these words. The same with numbers… We could ask How many apples / houses / cars / trees / dogs do you see? And we could record the answer. Or very simply we could ask: What do you see here?

And as we can use sound an image, we could have a picture of the sea and sound of waves…. We could ask: What do you see and what do you hear?

The options are endless. I’m very excited about using the app!
