You will have noticed that La Biciteca is not an initiative that first and foremost aims to teach the Spanish language. They use the Spanish language as one of a number of ‘tools’ for communicating with their audience. They basically tell stories in a multimodal way.

Their sessions are about engaging their audience in new ways with the aim to introduce aspects of the culture of Spanish-speaking countries, one of which is naturally the Spanish language.

They use many features you would find in theatre: puppets, stage props, gestures, dance, song, music, performance… They also use Spanish-language picture books to help them visualise the story they are telling.
