OpenLearn courses have been proven to increase confidence and develop the skills needed to enter higher education and succeed with learning.

As a result, the OU is currently offering a small number of learners an exciting opportunity to participate in the pilot of a new 30-credit level 1 course, Making your learning count (YXM130). This course will build on the learning that you may have already gained via OpenLearn.

The course Making your learning count can be counted towards one of our Open qualifications, and is therefore an ideal way for you to start building a qualification that's unique to you. Options include:

  • BA/BSc (Hons) Open degree
  • Diploma or Higher Education Open
  • Certificate of Higher Education Open.

To find out more about this exciting new course, as well as information on all our Open qualifications, visit The Open University website. As this is a pilot course, please be aware that there are a limited number of places available to students who are studying their first course with The Open University. Further opportunities to study the course will be confirmed in 2018.

While you wait for this course to start, why not explore the benefits of interdisciplinary study further and make the most of our free learning resources
