Find out more about The Open University's Environment courses and qualifications.

From the food we eat to the way we travel, everyday activities have a carbon footprint. But how do they compare?

In this interactive game, you'll discover which activities produce the same amount of greenhouse gas emissions, measured in carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e).

How to play

Turn over two cards to reveal different activities. If they have the same carbon footprint, you've found a match! Keep going until you've matched all the pairs.

When you find a match, you'll discover the carbon footprint shared by both activities.

Can you find them all?

Were any of the matches surprising? Think about the everyday choices you make. Are there any changes you could make to reduce your carbon footprint?
