Elective Home Education Hub

With more young people being educated outside of the traditional school classroom, we wanted to provide a collection of resources, tailored to support home educators, home-educated young people and other stakeholders in one easy-to-navigate collection.

Sport and Fitness Hub

Sport and fitness is a key part of the OU’s formal learning offering, which is reflected in the wide array of free learning resources we’ve created. If you’re passionate about sport, be that competing, coaching or watching, this is a great introduction to OpenLearn.

Employability Hub

If you want to boost your career prospects, whatever your job or the stage you’re at, then the Employability hub is packed with free resources to help you build confidence, develop in-demand skills and take your next step.

Sustainability Hub

If you’re passionate about creating a greener, fairer future, then explore our free, expert-led content that turns knowledge into action. From climate change and sustainable communities, to tackling poverty and hunger, it’s the perfect hub from which to begin your OpenLearn journey.

Resources for Schools Hub

This hub was made for secondary school-age pupils and educators. Filtered by the subjects you will recognise, every hand-picked item will relate to the school curriculum, offering content to support and supplement learning inside the classroom, and independently.

Race and Ethnicity Hub

Created in 2020, following high-profile news stories across the world, this hub is for everyone with an interest in the themes of race, racism and ethnicity. It now boasts well over 200 items of insightful and thought-provoking courses, articles, videos and interactive films.

Religion, Belief and Worldviews Hub

This new, but rapidly expanding hub is a place for exploring religion, spirituality and non-religion. It explores worldviews, offers insights into different cultures and beliefs through articles, courses and animations – a great collection to introduce you to the world of free learning.
