Skills Support with The Open University

Trade Unions and The OU are working together to offer all workers at risk of redundancy the opportunity to upskill and reskill using OU courses.

The OU have a huge number of free, short courses that you can do at any time and at your own pace. We have suggested some OpenLearn Badged Open Courses below which are designed to accelerate and advance your career aspirations. Each course is 24 hours long and awards an Open University Statement of Participation and a Digital Badge for career development opportunities.

In addition, we offer free, short courses to modules and degrees, The OU has something for everyone.

IN addition, you may be eligible for the Part Time Fee Grant http://www.open.ac.uk/scotland/study/fees-and-funding or a 10% union discount depending on your financial circumstances.
