Digital Badge

OpenLearn BOCs carry a free digital badge this is awarded in addition to a Statement of Participation. OU-branded digital badges do not carry formal credit but enable you to demonstrate interest in a subject and commitment to your career, and are used to augment CVs and ePortfolios.

All Badges are designed by the OpenLearn team and the shape is uniform to all other BOCs, the colour will depend on where the course will sit on the site e.g. Education and Development, this taxonomy will also form part of the URL.

How a badge displays for learners

Digital badges can be shared on Social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn and by making them public on the My OpenLearn Profile. They will also be synced to the StudentHome in the informal learning section of a Students
