5 Summary of Week 2

During this week you have become familiar with some of the approaches Humanities scholars can use to work with digital content on a large scale. You have learned about the need to assess the copyright and ethical implications before studying your data, and about the importance of data management and the FAIR principles. You have begun to explore the process of data wrangling, its iterative nature and its relevance for research. Finally, you have become aware of some of the methods you can employ for analysing your data and of the difference between quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods.

Next week, you will learn how Humanities scholars can communicate and share their research and reflect on some of the ways in which you can further your interest in digital humanities.
