Summary of Session 4
Food security is a major challenge. Floodplain meadows have developed to become a dynamic floodplain system, enabling food to be produced on land unsuitable for more intensive crops. At the same time, they conserve biodiversity, store carbon, lower flood risk and support the production of healthier meat.
