I am a scientist (cell biologist) that used to work in Academia but I always liked Mathematics so, once I was made redundant, I decided to study a degree in Maths.I remember when I was studying my baccalaurate in Spain I loved Maths!!! I was always the top of the class and I enjoyed doing the Maths homework more than any other subject. My sister is also a Maths enthusiast and we would engage in a lot of math games. Now I hope to get my Maths & Statistics degree in a few years and embark in a career in big genomic data or epidemiology statistician. I'll see how I progress and what I discover during my degree. Very exciting times ahead! I love learning. Among the great achievements of the World Wide Web is the distribution of knowledge among its users. The emergence of Open Learn and Future has been an eye opener to me. I can explore lots of subjects that interest me and do courses for free. In the process, I have learnt so much from other learners all over the world. It's fascinating.
