Online Summer School 2026

An OpenSTEM Online Summer School providing you with an introduction to several experimental techniques in biology, analytical and health sciences via the following online investigations.

• Burning Questions: Determining the Calorific Value of African Foodstuffs.
• Antibody agents part II: Antibody responses to SARS-CoV-.
• Observing growing cells online in real-time - Monitoring Cell Proliferation in Different Environments.
• Behind the Seams: Uncovering History with Scanning Electron Microscopy.

These investigations were completed online, either via an interactive screen experiment (Burning Questions and Antibody agents part II) or via remote access instruments (Observing growing cells and Behind the Seams). The investigations included recording data and observations, data analysis, and interpreting results.

To gain the badge, you must have successfully completed three of the investigations and the associated quizzes.
