Hello, and welcome to An Introduction to Motor Neurone Disease, or MND.

This course has been designed for health and social care professionals who are new to working with MND. The course will provide you with an overview of the disease and help you build confidence in supporting your patients, their carers, and families.

By the end of the course, you should be able to explain how MND is diagnosed, describe the effects of MND on the mind and body, and have an increased understanding of the psychological impact of a diagnosis.

You will also hear personal reflections from people living with the disease and members of their families.
