        This resource is designed to support adults to be confident with time, for instance when estimating journey times, and using both 12-hour and 24-hour time

        The course materials were designed and developed to support Highland Multiply, a UK Government funded adult numeracy programme, delivered by Highland Council through UHI Inverness. However, the activities and resources are open to everyone.

        You can can dip in and out of the materials, or work through them in the order presented.

    This module will help you develop the numeracy skills needed to:

    • read and record, and convert between, 12-hour (analogue) and 24-hour (digital) time;
    • calculate and record duration in both 12-hour and 24-hour time;
    • convert recorded durations between seconds, minutes and hours;
    • estimate journey times, including across time zones.
