How the children's theatre differ from the adult theatre?

Dear friends,

There are many questions about children's theatre which remain unanswered.

Even the term `children's theatre' is not yet unanimously defined.

It is agreed by many that children of different ages will require a different kind of theatre. Below six years of age, six to twelve years of age and above twelve years of age will need theatres of different content and different presentation styles.

This theory is hardly seen practiced. So the smaller children are unnecessarily forced to see a content not matching with their age and sensibility. Sometimes it is seen that the teenagers are getting bored with slow and simple scripts of below six years children.

It is very much clear from this comparison that children's theatre should differ for different ages and definitely from the adult theatre.

So shall we discuss this question here; What are those things in which the children's theatre differs from adult theatre?

Children theatre can bring animals to life as human's best friend.

It teaches kids friendship, empathy, kindness in so simple way which we adult somehow knowingly forgot.

I am lucky to attend few such theatre in western countries with my daughter and still miss them now.

Thanks, Mukesh for participation.

I feel you are right to point out the purpose of doing the children's theatre. One should continue this relationship with the theatre and nurture the child and the beautiful mind that sits in you.

Will like to hear a few stories about the theatre you and your daughter witnessed.
