      This course is intended to help introduce a method for the participatory development of a children's play, making script writing an interesting and involving process, to create a script with the active participation of children and on a subject matter of their choice.

  • Course learning outcomes

    This course aims to help participants:

    • Change their outlook towards the theatre for children
    • differentiate between traditional and participative script writing
    • Identify the role of improvisation in the creative process
    • Develop the divergent set of topics for the play

    • Select the right theme from the plenty of them presented by children

    • Develop a script with the active participation of children
    • Select a small set of ideas for the play
    • Select  the style of play according to the subject chosen
    • Edit the scenes and keep the pace of the play
    • Visualize the performance of the play
    • Discuss the play with the audience
    • Analyze and critique the play with the feedback received
