I could improve the lesson and make it more learner-centred by using strategies to engage students, capture their attention, and involve them in meaningful learning.
I would start with a motivating and dynamic introduction to the lesson. Then, I would present and develop the topic in an engaging way. I would not write long texts on the board because I would rather use class time for active learning. Instead, I would assign the longer texts as homework, along with a short questionnaire. Students would bring their analysis to discuss in class. I would ask open-ended questions, and they would feel encouraged to participate because they would already have some prior knowledge of the topic.
