CSET Youth Nigeria is the national chapter of the Commonwealth Sustainable Energy Transition Youth Action Group, a network mobilising young leaders across Commonwealth nations to advance affordable and clean energy access. In Nigeria, we exist to equip young people with the knowledge, tools, and platform to participate meaningfully in the country’s clean energy transition.

The Energy Transition Bootcamp is an 8-week structured online learning programme designed to give anyone regardless of background a robust, practical understanding of energy transition. It is built for young professionals, graduates, entrepreneurs, and anyone working in or around the energy sector who wants to understand what the energy transition is, why it matters, and where they fit in it.

This is not a passive course. It combines self-paced learning materials hosted on an open educational platform with weekly live facilitated sessions, mentorship, peer learning, and a hands-on capstone project. Participants graduate with both a certificate and a real project proposal they have built from the ground up.

Nigeria has one of the largest energy access deficits in the world, with over 85 million people without reliable electricity. Yet most young Nigerians, including many already working in energy-adjacent fields have never had a structured opportunity to understand the energy transition: what it means technically, politically, economically, and socially. This bootcamp closes that gap.
