  The author argues that completely separating "religion" from "culture" is nearly impossible, as religious practices (such as the avoidance of eating horse meat in Britain) are often rooted in cultural and historical habits rather than purely religious directives. Therefore, asking simplistic questions like choosing between "good religion" and "bad religion," or "religion versus culture," ignores the complex and intertwined reality of how communities actually live. Ultimately, religion is a fluid and dynamic phenomenon that can either encompass a person's entire life or serve as a meaningful part of their cultural identity in everyday life.

  I enjoyed this course, but didnt find it super expansive and only really looked at one subject/case study. But this is good for a level 1 course :) thanks
