With its fantastic heritage and lush landscapes, Wales is one of the most culturally rich countries with an ancient language that is still important today. For example, did you know during the Balkans, the Royal Welsh Fusiliers communicated in Welsh to avoid their plans being overheard? Or perhaps you were unaware that one of the 55 languages sent out to greet possible alien lifeforms on the NASA Voyager spacecraft was Welsh?
