Week 3: Stages of team development
Introduction
Welcome to Week 3 of the course.
In Week 2, you took some time to consider remote working, a team context that is growing in significance and brings specific challenges and opportunities. You looked in more detail at developing trust in a virtual environment and the importance of clear communication, gaining an overview of the technology available to support you. This was an important step to take early on in the course, allowing you to keep that context in mind as you work through the following weeks.
This week, you’ll move your attention to team development, investigating the different stages that a team might move through as its members get to know each other. You’ll have the opportunity to apply a well-known model to your own experience and look at different tactics for progressing from one stage to the next.
To begin Week 3 first watch the following introductory video.
