Badge activities

Unlike most OpenLearn free courses, you can gain a badge for studying this unit. In order to gain the badge you will need to have enrolled on the unit, agreed to our badge trust statement and complete the activities listed below. If you choose to study all of the units in the Succeed with maths – part 1 [Tip: hold Ctrl and click a link to open it in a new tab. (Hide tip)] course and gain a unit badge for all units, these badges will count towards the course badge.

Although the badge does not offer formal accreditation, it is something that you can use as proof of study or share socially to show your friends and family what you have been doing.

You will be asked to complete the badge trust statement before you start working on the first badge activity on the list below.

To gain a badge in this unit you will be required to complete the following activities – please note that you will need to be enrolled to access them:

• Activity 3 Another game of sudoku
• Activity 5 A few arithmetic problems
• Activity 10 Cross-number puzzle
• End-of-unit-quiz

These activities are presented slightly differently to the other activities within the unit and are designed to test your understanding of the unit. We would recommend that you read the section on how to complete the quizzes before starting the first badge activity.

Please note that if you do not agree to the badge trust statement, you will not be able to gain a badge for this unit.
