Session 3: Climate education in practice

Introduction

Session 3 introduces some of the key issues around the practice of climate education. You’ll think about how it can be infused into the existing curriculum and consider some examples, including healthcare, English language and creative disciplines, and discover how educators across sectors and subject areas can harness the power of photography. You’ll also examine the role of technology in climate education.

By the end of this session, you should be able to:

• design learning activities which support learners in understanding the causes and impacts of the climate emergency
• critically reflect on your own practice and identify ways to develop it further
• critically reflect on the role of technology in relation to the climate emergency.
