1 Getting ready to study maths
Now you know more about how maths anxiety can affect your physical health and how you may respond with procrastination or avoidance we can move on to looking at strategies to deal with these responses to maths anxiety.
These strategies will be both cognitive and behavioural approaches and the approach you take will depend very much on your personal preferences. You may wish to trial out a number of different strategies, making a note of work works well for you, with the goal of creating your own ‘toolbox’ of strategies that you can draw upon when you feel your anxiety levels rising.
We will also focus on self-care and ways to be proactive when faced with maths study that makes you feel anxious.
