 🎓   My O.U. achievements.

 •  Y031- "Art & Languages Access       Module" - 30 OU Credits/15:00ECTS points.

 •   144 CPD Points to date...

"After I successfully completed a 'Btec Level 2 in Art & Design' & a 'IGCSE - First Language English' at the Isle of Man University College UCM, I wanted to combine both Art & Language's again in my studies, but now in a more independent & academic way.

This led me to the Open University's online access course, where I combined the knowledge from my previous areas of study & focused it into completing a "Y031 - 'Arts & Languages' 30 Credit Access Module".

The study skills that I've gained during my O.U. access course, didn't just refreshed my previous latent study skills, but this module also helped me improve on them & expand my horizons.

This got me to thinking about my next potential steps. So, after I completed a 'IAB Level 1 & 2 - Award & Units in Bookkeeping' at college, & with some careful consideration, I developed my new collectors website. The online element of my O.U. modular study helped me appreciate how to work independently online.

🔎 (see below for website).

Furthermore, the O.U.'s access module has also acted as a catalyst as I've now moved forward with other assignments. The knowledge I've gained has acted as an introduction to the various new perspectives of art, creative language & use of numismatic's that I'd not previously considered. These areas of study were further carefully incorporated into my own website development.

Moreover, this module course has also opened up new opportunities to study through the O.U's 'Openlearn' Learning online Service. This service has been a way for me to get all the online experience & leaning hours that I needed for the development of my own website, whilst I also earned some O.U. badges & CPD points.

Now I've completed eight digital 'Openlean' badges, (achieved with separate certification) as part of online, part-time, introductory & intermediate Openlearn O.U. courses.

Six of these courses were endorsed by "Continuous Professional Development" (CPD) Accreditation. These were done prior & during the my development of my website.

My successful completion of these courses provided me with 144 CPD points in total (devided equally by six).

These 144 CPD points go along side the 30 OU Credits & 15:00 ECTS points I previously earned for my successful completion of the Open Universities 'YO31, Access Module'.

More importantly these courses provided me with the valuable skills, new insights & the useful information needed for my personal assignments/website.

I now feel far more confident working independently online & will further my studies with a 'Certificate of High Education (Open)' done through the Open University.

Finally, I would highly recommend these courses to anyone wishing to develop their own personal website..."
