Biography

Ordinary English schools and sixth form college leading to 3 A levels, (Chemistry, Geography and Geology). Worked for almost 20 years at British Gas, engineering directorate. Finished as Senior Development Engineer in 1997. Left due to the reorganisation of the company and the outsourcing of the regional grid control systems, one of which, (North Thames), I had overall control over for perhaps 10 years. Took a year off to travel, met a Danish girl in Santiago, Chile, travelled with her for some months and after a while back in our respective countries, I moved to Denmark and later married her. In Denmark I've worked as a software engineer for several companies in transport and shipping arenas. When I was young, I spent a lot of time Saturday and Sunday mornings watching OU programs on BBC2, Mike Pentz was a particular favourite.
