Dyslexia Scotland

Three linked courses written by the Addressing Dyslexia Toolkit and Dyslexia Scotland with the support of the Opening Educational Practices in Scotland Project.  All three courses use the General Teaching Council Scotland’s focus areas identified to support professional learning.

The first course was published in March 2017, the second in October 2017 and the third in March 2018. The courses were updated in March 2021.

Complete these three courses to be eligible for free electronic membership to Dyslexia Scotland to continue your professional development.

To scaffold your learning, we recommend you complete these courses in their intended order:

If you have completed the three modules in this collection, please email toolkit [at] dyslexiascotland.org.uk with links to your badges to qualify for free electronic membership to Dyslexia Scotland.

In June 2018 a version of the first course was published for Community Learning & Development practitioners. This module has been developed and written by a collaborative partnership between Education Scotland, Dyslexia Scotland and the CLD Standards Council Scotland with support from the Specific Learning Difficulties Forum which is co-hosted by Education Scotland and Dyslexia Scotland.  Membership comprises practitioners who work within the Community Learning & Development sector in Scotland.

Please note that enrolment for the original versions of the courses is being switched off - we suggest you enrol on the new versions of the courses.
