Taking part in the voluntary sector is an introductory course for people who are new to working or volunteering in the voluntary sector, or those who might be looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in order to improve their career progression. The course will also be relevant to people seeking paid work, volunteer and trustee roles in the sector. Although the course focuses on skills and knowledge relevant for those working or volunteering, it will also be relevant to people with a general interest perhaps as donors, supporters or carers who have involvement with voluntary organisations.
This course is free and you are welcome to study it without enrolling. However, the course gives you the opportunity to earn digital badges as a recognition of your learning. To collect these badges, you’ll need to enrol. If you already have an Open University account, you need to sign in before you enrol. Otherwise, it’s easy to create one. Once you’ve signed in, return to this page and click on the ‘Enrol’ button above.
