About the research
The Open University team are interested in learning more about who studies these courses. We would be grateful if you could kindly answer a set of three optional questions when enrolling on this course.
We’d also like to share this information, along with your name and the course you enrol on, with the Higher Education and Access Tracker (HEAT) service team from the University of Kent who enable The Open University to find out where you study next. This is purely for research purposes.
Any personal information that you provide will be held securely by The Open University and used for aggregated statistics and internal reporting. For research and monitoring purposes only, we may also share this with the HEAT team, and their data management team – who may in turn share the information with the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), Department for Education, Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) or the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), so that we can find out if you go on to further Higher Education study. This will help us to evaluate the effectiveness of our Social Partnerships Network courses. No one will use your information in a way that would affect you individually. Your information won’t be passed on anywhere else. Your data will be stored by The Open University and the HEAT service team and will be destroyed after a maximum of 16 years.
If you don’t wish your information to be shared in any way please contact spn-nnco-enquiries@open.ac.uk [Tip: hold Ctrl and click a link to open it in a new tab. (Hide tip)] . Under the Data Protection Act (1998) you have the right to a copy of the data held about you by us, for a small fee.
