    • About this course

This course looks at the availability of water resources in Myanmar and how those resources are managed.

Myanmar is a water abundant country but there is marked seasonal and regional variability, and the abundant supplies are not in the places where they are needed most. The country also suffers from extensive water pollution that degrades natural ecosystems and threatens lives.

The course explores how Myanmar’s water resources can be managed more responsibly for sustainable development and is for undergraduate students in Myanmar, Myanmar citizens and citizens of the ASEAN region.

There is a Statement of Participation awarded for studying this course. To gain this you must complete all four chapters of the course and attempt all the questions.

The course has been written for the Yangon University of Distance Education and
Mandalay University of Distance Education by these course authors

The Transformation by Innovation in Distance Education (TIDE) project, funded through DfID, supported the journey to authoring and production of this course.
