Introduction

Hello, my name is Dr. Rose Nyambura from Kenya. I'm a teacher by profession and I taught in Kenya's high school for over 17 years before joining Laikipia University, Kenya in 2013 as a teacher educator. I became a TESSA ambassador in 2017 and have enjoyed learning in this global class organized by TESSA and Open University-UK under facilitators led by Kris.  I just concluded the ITL in March 2021 and I'm looking forward to this course on how to start an inclusive school. Whatever I learn here is going to enrich the experiences and activities that I will organize for my learners as I prepare them for the new Competence based Curriculum ( CBC) that is yet to start in secondary schools ( it has already started in primary schools).  I now know that all teachers can effectively participate in inclusive education, thanks to COL, TESSA and Open University-UK.
