What are the features of an inclusive school

Based on the video I am in agreement with Daniel that inclusive schools need soft skills.  Daniel highlights a number of soft skills such as teachers attitude towards students and giving students adequate time and that teachers and administration to speak openly about inclusiveness.  In my area, teachers in training are introduced to dealing with special needs students but I believe that it should be more than just a course and more resources should be allocated to build inclusive schools.  According to Lydia have a resource centre in inclusive schools serves many purposes such as provide an area where students can go and also providing needed help for the mainstream teacher.

Very true Marcelle. In your opinion, what do you think should be the first thing an ordinary school should embrace  to embark on its journey towards  creating an inclusive school? Attitude change or Resources?

I also agree with David that inclusive schools need these soft skills. The attitudes of teachers and administrators is a catalyst that would effect the changes we wish to see. In my area, there are separate schools for children with disabilities. This is seen as ideal. Many parents believe that inclusion will impede the progress of "normal" children. But slowly attitudes are changing. The school that I belong to has a resource room. Materials are readily available for children to source.
