Features of an inclusive school

For me the most important features of an inclusive school are change to teacher attitudes and working on the learners self esteem.

You are right Paul. These "soft skills" are pertinent in creating an inclusive school.

I agree also because messages without words do have meaning ,especially body language. They can display positivity or negativity.

General attitude toward individuals who appear different or require a different approach to learning always seem to challenge the 'norm'.  Yes, getting individuals to develop a sense of we ALL can, just some faster than others, and appreciating the various ways to foster learning helps to build competence, morale and self satisfaction.  If as adults we feel that way, then we need to foster this same attitude in our children.  And an inclusive environment helps us to accomplish that.

I agree with this. To me it's the attitude of everyone involved, not just the teachers.

Yes teachers attitudes are important because they are the driving force for change in the classroom. No matter what the Administration do, if Teachers don't buy into the change it will not be done.

I am in full agreement with Chacieva, the teachers  attitudes are very important because they are the ones in the classroom. Teachers are the ones to bring about that change no matter what is written in paper. What matters is the work done in the classroom
