Activity 1.4 Developing positive attitudes

I once served as a kindergarten teacher at an inclusive school. In my observation there, the children were all encouraged to accept the students that were differently abled. In one of the classes there were two students that was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. These students were always included in the class activities, be it Physical Education, singing or any activities that the class engaged in. The teachers fostered an environment of helpfulness and kindness among all the students by never discriminating any of the differently abled children. This was one of the main things that impressed me at the school. Due to this inclusion there was love and understanding of each disability that was present at the school.
