including parents/caregivers

The school I work at encourages teachers to reach out (call, text, email) parents or caregivers of students who are struggling with school work. The admin holds form meetings with the teachers and requests for feedback of student progress after the parents/caregivers are consulted.

This is wonderful Victoria. Family support systems are an important factor in creating an inclusive school. Thank you for sharing.

Quite a good practice Victoria. Sharing information among all stakeholders on pupils' progress in and out of school is very important in identifying and addressing the pupils needs.

At a Centre I know the teachers alongside the parents/caregivers have one on one meetings and together they come up with simple strategies to support the child at home as well as in the school environment thus cementing a home school link.
