1.6 Professional Development

From my experience in studying, I once too a SPED course. This course is separated into 2 sections of which both took months in achieving. These courses I believe are very helpful and effective in such a way that it enables me to take different approach in dealing with special needs children. It does make a difference because at first, I had no knowledge how to deal with such children. I knew that disabled and special need children should be taught differently but it was difficult at first without the proper training. After taking the courses it gave me a better knowledge and approach to dealing with these children. It is helpful because there is always a needed child in a class. Not all children are on the same level. So this became helpful to me in learning how to deal with these children and assisting my colleagues how to make different approaches in reaching the need of children with disabilities whom they also teach.
