Monitoring Inclusive Schools

In a particular school I was at helped to award students for different things that were completed like those that showed improvement and also they would host talent shows as a part of the School's fund raising efforts that would showcase the variety of abilities of our students. The community always made an effort to come out and support. These types of initiatives actually motivated students and further encouraged them to be in school everyday because they knew that there was a place for them there. Teachers continued taking turns working in the resource center to help the children even on the weekends. Again these types of organized assistance given especially in reading helped to motivate and encourage students to continue being a part of the school environment.

These are very good initiatives Pauline that will promote pro-inclusion ethos and culture in a school.

I do agree that these strategies would assist and motivate students to participate and effectively communicate. The support of teachers would promote a positive impact towards an inclusive school.
