Activity 1.2: What makes an inclusive school?

Two important features of an inclusive school and how they are put into action in a school you know.

At this particular school:

1. A creation of a school environment that adapts the physical environment is established. This is to ensure that everyone; children on wheelchairs, on walking canes; would be able to easily navigate with ramps and rails and adapted toilets.

2. Utilization of a resource room . Teachers usually assist students in the resource room as they design all instruction to meet the specific needs of the students. They serve to maximize the students' learning potential. The resource room ensures the support is indeed helping the student reach their full potential. It in turn creates self-esteem in the learners who are likely to experience challenges in education.

Very informative post. Many schools are making accommodations to ensuring that the school's physical environment is accessible to each child. Increase in funding by government as they also see the necessity for such in the schools.

The creation of the school environment is as relevant as the professions attached. In my school we need ramps for students. Moving forward I believe new school will come with that accommodation.
