Every year we have workshops that help us with our professional development. For example, two years ago I took a workshop on Phonics. It really helped me because I was starting to teach grade 1. I wish that whenever they change to the next level, they would train especially for that level. This goes on for two weeks; we get the opportunity to socialize and share our thoughts with teachers from other schools.
