I agree that education is the only factor that can strength and up lift our society. I believe that as ECCE educators providing an exceptional foundation to our young upcoming minds will do just this. Our teaching and learning styles sets the tone for young people to develop and enrich their social and academic development. It is necessary that we understand that our involvement in their lives may be the only and most important stepping stone towards holistic development. Creating an Inclusive school will now afford all children an education regardless of their abilities

Hi Everyone

This course has reminded me that all stakeholders are involved, and must be involved in education for the benefit of all students including marginalised students.  Working as a team, and promoting stakeholders engagement will help to develop a positive school environment that will create 'buy-ins' to school policies, goals and objectives and thus cater to the needs of all students to reach their full potential.  Working in the education system during this pandemic has clearly revealed the benefits of stakeholders for a successful school.  At my school, stakeholders have all contributed to leveling the playing field and creating the equity needed for success, by providing devices for students in need.

I would also like to implement the buddy system to promote inclusion at my learning community: to increase the social interaction leading to a sense of belongingness and build self esteem among students.

Regards

Kamaldaye

This course reminded me of how important it is for all stakeholders too work together in order to ensure that the school is equipped too meet the needs of all children. On my way forward I intend too take all that I have learnt and implement them at my school.  I will also encourage my co-workers too do this course so that they can also be reminded of what is needed of us so that no child would be left behind.

Firstly, this course has created an awareness of the importance of establishing a positive ethos in the environment. In so doing, it is a win win situation for all involved, since it encompasses all the elements of inclusivity and diversity. My role going forward will be to create opportunities for the development of meaningful social interactions through the buddy system. Secondly, working with stakeholders to help children and their families overcome challenges. My goal is to foster more community based student support services.
