creating an inclusive ethos

In a school that i was teaching in right now, there had been a lot of understanding about inclusive education .This is only because our government had set up policies regarding children with disabilities.

There had been a lot of awareness going on already in our communities and parents seem to understand the importance of inclusive education. More parents are starting to enrol their children in school since now we have an inclusive teacher. The only thing we need right now is we need more inclusive kits ,so it can benefit our children to have a successful outcome in the future. We all deserve the rights to education despite all the restrictions.

Your experience demonstrates the features necessary towards creating effective inclusive ethos.

The government has done their part with policy-making and facilities. Also with sending trained staff to provide support.

The community has been working on awareness which encourages families to feel comfortable enrolling their special needs children, because they trust that their children will receive the educational opportunities they deserve.

And finally, the school is working on obtaining more inclusive kits to provide the appropriate resources needed to meet learner needs.

Well done to your school!

I applaud the effort of that school. It takes time but we need everyone onboard. Hope they get those much needed kits to continue working with the children. Totally agree, we all have rights to an appropriate education.

I also applaud the efforts of your government Fiona and for the support received from parents who are continuously enrolling their children in your school. I really hope that the kits required will be supplied to your school soon, since the students needs must take priority.
