Activity 1.2: What Makes an Inclusive School

Q. What are two important features of an inclusive school?

  1. Welcoming Attitude:

An inclusive school is a school that has a welcoming attitude. Where ALL students are welcomed and educated in the regular classroom.

  1. Accessible Physical Environment:

An inclusive school should  have a physical environment that can be easily accessed by students with physical disabilities. For instance, wider doorways, lifts and ramps etc.
