Features of an inclusive school

Two important features of an inclusive school and how they are put into action in a school you know.

In Tunisia, inclusive education is officially administered. The features of those schools can be seen as

1. the creation of an environment that adapts the physical environment that is established. This is to ensure that everyone; children on wheelchairs, on walking canes; would be able to easily navigate with ramps and rails and adapted toilets. The problem is that this is not always the case.

2. the use of a resource room and in some cases, extracurricular activities or remedial work for the students who need it. Teachers usually assist students in the resource room as they design all instruction to meet the specific needs of the students. They aim at maximizing the students' learning potential.

Two important features of an inclusive school are: 

1.existence of an established culture of support and positive attitude for the learning by all students irrespective of their disabilities. 

2.The school management, community school staff, classroom and general physical environment adapted to the needs of students with disabilities.

Important features of an inclusive school are:

1. Resource rooms - All materials and manipulatives that are needed to assist diverse learners to reaching their greatest potential. 

2. Adaptations to the curriculum for inclusion of these learners.
