Feeling excluded can best be described as a state of mind that drives a person into despair, loneliness and not being able to measure up to expectations. Human beings are unwittingly complicit in this regard, but under controlled conditions such as a school setting, Teachers and Administrators have the power to institute certain programmes, policies, operating procedures which may be designed to even the playing field.

Access - administering access interventions allows a child to have an improved identification and self-worth.
Quality - includes the provision of assistive devices/medical support such as hearing aids, wheel chairs, installation of ramps and specially designed desks to accommodate wheel chairs.
Engagement/Ethos - the development of a buddy scheme or system for a disabled child is a great idea and will most certainly have reciprocal benefits, where the subject child will develop a feeling of acceptance because of the close relationship with one of his or her regular classmates,
