Inclusive Ethos

  • Giving opportunities to all students.  
  • Encouraging students of Determination to take part in the school activities(with necessary accommodation, if needed) 
  • Celebrate each students success(steps) 
  • Strong relationship with teachers, parents and Inclusion specialists. 
  • Solid Inclusion Policy and take action on those who are violating it.

Each of your points do target specific needs, needed for an inclusive ethos. I also think it is quite applicable. Hopefully in the very near future through constant courses like these, extended education on this topic and spot light all schools will be inclusive.

Inclusive Ethos

I agree that a strong inclusion policy and holding persons accountable for violation sends a clear message to individuals and wider society about inclusion. Other factors I think include 

uncovering each child's strength and capacities through participatory learning and the development of an individual Education plan tailored to each child's strengths and capacities

Welcoming and constant engagement of special education advisors, Teachers into the school

the perception of the school by the wider community is one where there are expert, caring and patience staff providing a safe, nurturing environment for students
