Attitudes to Inclusion

Inclusive education means all children in the same classrooms, in the same schools. In order to facilitate inclusion a positive attitude is an integral part of the process. One must be willing to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to cater for the different individual needs of each learner.
Teachers' training, abilities and attitudes can be a major limitation for inclusive education. In some cases it is not that they are being negative but that they are not well equipped with the skills to cater for the students needs.
