Features of an inclusive school

Every school environment is different and every child who enters the school comes into the classroom with different abilities. Therefore it is important that the staff, administration, and other stakeholders recognize the importance of inclusion. 
Inclusion in a school means that 
  1. there are trained teachers
  2. accessible learning materials/assistive technology
  3. physical accommodations made to the environment
  4. welcoming environment and positive teacher attitudes
