My experience where I acquired and engaged in a professional development course surrounding this topic was exhilarating. I was granted the opportunity to visit a school for one week. The exposure shed light on so many things. I was able to interact with the teachers and some of the children. The hands on materials they used were targeted for their specific needs. I learnt so much from that short week. I was able to utilize the information I received in my class. Hence I do believe that teachers should be exposed to short training and allowed to implement it within their setting.
