creating online lessons

Before the new school year 2020-2021, I participated in several development courses which were aimed at preparing me for online teaching. These courses were the most informative and hands-on. I learned how to create my own videos; editing and recording , to how to plan for the online lesson. This month of preparation undoubtedly prepared me for a year of online classes. I was fully ready to teach in online classes.

Victoria, this is wonderful. I felt like you were sharing my experience as well. I too learned much from a number of online courses that I participated in. I welcomed them wholeheartedly since I had to find ways to meet with and engage my learners via an online platform. I learned strategies that helped me to create varied learning experiences for all of my learners to cater to each of their needs. What a positive experience indeed.

Hi Victoria, I must say a few years back at a university in my country, I was doing online learning. It was foreign to me but had to get with the programme. Its is somewhat similar to what we are doing now but it was more interactive. In that, if the class was today, we would have to log on and participate in the discussion for the class time. It was good.

In creating the online sessions for the students, since March, 2020 has been a struggle at the beginning but became easier once I put my time and trying to learn how to formulate. Now its a walk over. I enjoy the sessions daily as it gives me the opportunity to create videos and play games with them online.
