Activity 1.6 Professional Development

I functioned as a Student Aide in my former job, Special Education. I was assigned to a student with ADHD. Within this job, there were a number of training sessions geared towards equipping us with the necessary skills to be more efficient in our delivery.

An important session I received was the Sign Language training, as I had no prior knowledge on how to communicate using sign language. This prepared me with the necessary tools to interact efficiently with hearing impaired individuals.
