Activity 1.2 What makes an Inclusive School

There are a number of factors involved when we think of an inclusive school. It does not just refer to the physical structure of the building, or placement of children with disabilities. However, it lends to great change in the system that is dependent on an effective support system. This would include the community by extension, parental involvement, the teachers an administration. All these need to join together in order for an inclusive school to be fully functional and for the learning to be effective to an inclusive learner.

I totally agree. The saying "it takes a village" applies in the education of all children but it takes on more significance when we are discussing inclusion and catering for children with differing needs. True partnership between all stakeholders is crucial.
